Lazar Continuous CBF and Carbon Pricing

Governments say, “The cheapest and most efficient way of reducing carbon pollution is to harness the power of the market, to put a price tag on greenhouse gas emissions that creates an incentive to cut them.” 

The environmentally superior anode baking technology utilized by the Lazar process will play a very significant role in reducing these CO2 emissions. The $23 charged per tonne of CO2 will result in savings of approximately $5,000,000 per year to aluminum smelters who utilize the Lazar technology (for a medium sized smelter).

With commercialization of the Lazar Continous Carbon Baking Furnace, we believe there will be a strong impetus that governments will mandate this process above other existing anode baking technologies.
